Impulse Tracker
All my music during the Rebound time frame was written in a tool called Impulse Tracker. Tracker-based music was an old form of computer based digital music production, popular back in the days when computers were less capable of driving the high powered software synths that we see today. The software at it’s simplest form could be described as a combination of a sampler and a sequencer, in which the user had some number of channels (4, 8, 32, ++) to trigger samples at different frequencies to build tracks.
Best of Krimson
At the time I was producing music under the alias “Tricolore” and released approximately 20-30 or tracks under the Rebound label in our 2-3 years of operation. The couple of tracks listed below are my personal favorites.
Rebound on the Web
archive.org – One wonderful member, Emit, took the time to convert our entire discography to mp3 format and upload it to be forever preserved on archive.org. Great place to check out the group and listen to or download mp3’s of all our releases!
scene.org – The original demo/tracker archives, still operational today! Check out the old official rebound releases, untouched and as they were in their day.
Other Members
It’s hard to doubt the talent Rebound had when multiple members, of what was a pretty small netlabel, have gone on to do great things in the scene.
Resound – The founding member and leader Krii, now known as Resound, has gone on to be a big name in not just the Finnish Drum n Bass scene, but with world wide recognition. He has releases on a number of top-tier drum n bass labels and continues to grow with his unique atmospheric take on drum n bass.
Psidream – Psidream is another member who’s immense talent and skills have allowed him to break out of the online/local scenes and has releases on major labels with world wide recognition.
KM Krebs – Releasing under the alias Emit at the time, KM Krebs has continued to produce and push the bounds of experimental electronic music over the years.
Were you a previous member of Rebound and have continued music projects not listed here? Please contact me! I’d love to catch-up, check out your work, and add you to my page.
